What’s ape, duck?

 

 A GORILLA amazes zoo visitors by gently cradling a duckling.

They had feared the worst as the bird strayed into the ape's enclosure.
Four-year-old Western Lowland gorilla Komale repeatedly picked up the tiny duck and pulled it towards his mouth.
But Komale was just playing with it - and then gave his feathered friend a cuddle.
The duckling had crossed a moat that surrounds an island where gorillas live at Bristol Zoo. It finally broke free and rejoined its family.

Riyadh and Manchester

Riyadh is in the middle of Saudi Arabia with a population of 4,000,000. The most of year is summer which mean scorching but we have 3 months very dry cold winter.

With this number of population there are a lot of sports centre where they can swimming ,playing football and tinnes. Riyadh has fantastic restaurants you can find our food and also forign food, make sure you try Kabsa. I suggest going to scyscraper which is the most picturesque part.

When I say bustling,spacious,elegant,hectic and crowded I should mean Riyadh. in Riyadh we have a rush day not a rush hour because cars are the only way to travel.

As an industry city, pollution is one of the most problems. The other problem is
 unemployment which is become an universal problem.

comparing between Manchester and Riyadh, Riyadh is bigger and hotter than Manchester and its miles easer to drive in Riyadh than Manchester
in my opinion the main point is transport, they have train and trams and of course cars.

In Manchester people quiet friendly and helpful but they prefer to be with themselves.
Education and helth system in Manchester as similar as in Riyadh.

 Riyadh is nothing like as historic as Manchester.

So, I'm better studing in Manchester than in Riyadh.

tehran capital of iran

tehran ,the city which i came from ,with the population of almost 8,000,000 is much bigger and more hectic than manchester and though it's population is growing day by day and like other big cities tehran, suffers from sever airpollution,which sometimes makes breathing hard. infact it has been reported that each month many died as a result.

comparin to manchester tehran has milder weather.it can generally describe as mild in spring and autumn,hot and dry in summer and cold in winter.
people ,however, have absolutly different cultural behavior manner than in manchester.they are much more frindly and always care and look after each other even if you are a complete stranger you can find friend so easily.

in my openion manchester transportation network is much better than what we have in tehran.here has a well-managed transpotation system which covers many routs and even without a car you can go almost everywhere in or outside the city.it has'nt as much traffic jam as we does have in tehran.

one undeniable fact is that manchester has alot of beautiful landscape just like other parts of England.which is infact beacuse of its weather,i guess, and i really enjoy just gazing at its beautifull scene specialy on the outskirts.there are a lot of scene which i wish i could picturesque them.

Man & Mad

Manchester is a great city for studying English because there are many things to do all the time in the morning, afternoon and at night. If you compare the social life in Manchester with the social life in Madrid, I am sure Madrid is better but you came to England to learn English . If want to party and relax you should go to Madrid. Anyway Spain and Madrid have more things than just parties and bulls. You must go to Spain and learn about our culture. Now I will try to compare my city with Manchester.

Madrid is the Capital of Spain, has about 4,300,000 inhabitants and is situated in the middle of the Iberica peninsula. Is the biggest city in Spain and you have all things in the world except a beach.

Manchester is the third biggest city in England after London and Birmingham. I dont know actually about the population of Manchester but anyway it is less than 2,000,000.

Manchester and Madrid are very different. Manchester is small and in Madrid there is business and growth every day.

The weather obiously is better in Madrid more sun, less rain etc. But after six months in Manchester I think the weather is ok. Only that in the same day it may rain and snow.

The cost of living is cheaper than in London but more expensive than Madrid in basic things like milk, fruit, vegetables etc. But if you compare the price of renting one house or room., Manchester and Madrid are equal.

Night life. Manchester has many pubs, bars and discos. You only need to get used to the timetables. People in England go out at 7 o'clock and come back home at 3 o'clock. In Madrid or Spain people go out at 12 oclock and come back at 6 oclock. But i can say that maybe the English people are more wild than Spanish people. "maybe" I'm not sure about my last sentence. Anyway if your favourite music is Rock or Indie music you should choose Manchester because there are many pubs such as Factory, Fifth avenue, south etc.

Very important thing. FOOD . If you want to lost weight come to England without your mother. The food is more expensive than in Madrid and the quality is worse. Don't come to England if you want to eat great food. Anyway remember you came English to learn English.

Public Transport. The people from Manchester sure tell you " ohh yes the public transport in Manchester is great, Fantastic". In my opinion it is very bad awful.,dirty, expensive and slow if you live in the suburbs of Manchester you need to spend one hour on the bus if you have good luck. In Madrid it is cleaner and cheaper but sometimes have problems and break down.

If you like football come to England and choose Manchester. The people are crazy about football and about United and City. You can watch the match with 100 people in pubs like Footage on Oxford Road. People in Madrid are crazy about football as well but the people are passionate

In conclusion Manchester is as amazing as Madrid.

I am going to describe kabsa which all Saudi people really like because it is traditional food and incredible tasty. Kabsa was known for more than many centuries because it was cheap and rice is easy to grow.


Nowadays, kabsa is important nutrition and an indication of generosity. If any guests come and the host does not bring this food especially with lamb all people will say he is mean man.

This picture is called mofatah this was made for 15 people to 25.and kabsa you can make it with chicken or lamb or any meat. Do you like it? Look at the bottom picture this is with chicken it is easy kind of kabsa to cook.

These dishes are mainly made from a mixture of spices, rice (usually basmati), meat and vegetables. There are many kinds of Kabsa and each kind has a uniqueness about it. Pre-mixed Kabsa spices are now available under several brand names. These reduce preparation time but may have a flavour distinct from traditional Kabsa. The spices used in Kabsa are largely responsible for its taste; these are generally Black Pepper, Cloves, Cardamom, Saffron, Cinnamon, Black lime, Bay Leaves and Nutmeg. The main ingredient that accompanies the spices is the meat, such as chicken, goat, lamb, camel, or sometimes beef, fish, and shrimp. The spices, rice and meat may be augmented with Almonds, Pine nuts, Onions and Tomatoes.

Meat for Kabsa can be cooked in various ways. A popular way of preparing meat is called Mandi. This is an ancient technique, whereby meat is barbecued in a deep hole in the ground that is covered while the meat cooks. Another way of preparing and serving meat for Kabsa is Mathbi, where seasoned meat is grilled on flat stones that are placed on top of burning embers. A third techniqueMadghoot, involves cooking the meat in a Pressure cooker.

Paulo Coelho` s story is a simple novel,an inspiration parable about the importance of pursuing one’s dreams. It was originally written in Portuguese, published in 1988 and it has become one of the best-selling books in history. The alchemist is a short about 170 pages,quick and enjoyable.
It won the Guinness World Record for most translated book by a living author.
Paulo Coelho is one of the most successful authors of all time. His books have sold over 100 million copies,have been translated into 67 languages and released in more than 150 countries.












The alchemist is a novel about a boy named Santiago who decided to abandon his shepherd life to the adventure of discoveries,he crossed from Spain into Tangiers.
In his journey,Santiago sees the greatness of the world and meets all kinds of exciting and crazy people,from kings to paupers,impersonate to genuine,and known-all to down to earth people,and eventually the Alchemist.
The ends of the novel,he discovers that treasure lies where you heart belongs and that the treasure was the journey itself, the discoveries he made and the wisdom he gained.
The Alchemist,is stimulating novel that gives with optimism,it is the kind of novel that reinfor that everything is possible as long as the person really wants it to happen.

I found Alchemist is a good novel for all ages to read,it is useful for someone who is confused point at his life and it can give you a sense of hope.
I think that the manner that the author wrote this book was absolute brilliant,he used different techniques to capture the readers`attention and bring them to another world where they experience Santiago`journey as if it were their own.





Paulo Coelho was born in Rio de Janeiro,Brazil. In 1970,after deciding that law school was not for him,he traveled through much of South America,North Africa,Mexico, and Europe.
He made a successful career as a popular songwriter. In 1974,he was imprisoned for a short time by the military dictatorship then ruling in Brazil.
He is an outspoken activist for peace and social justice,and also supports the free distribution of his work.

Manchester in my opinion ...

My first day in Manchester was surprising, there is a huge difference between my city and Manchester. In my country I didn't use to use public transport, I used to get up late, I'm not allow to go some places without my father or my husband, if I would like to go some where I have to find some one to drive. Here in Manchester I can do what I like, their atmosphere encourages you to get up early. There are many options, you would never get bored. There is a fantastic shopping centre, which is on Old Trafford, called Trafford centre or if you like to go shopping in small market there are many in Longsight Street. If you are starving you can find different restaurants such as Indian, Italian, Arabic , Turkish and of courses English, one of the best meal I've tried is Jacket Potato.

Public transport in Manchester is easy to use, depending on your choice. In city centre they have free buses that take you around the centre and they have other buses which take you around all Manchester for a cheap prise also they have trams and trains

Weather isn't bad as what I imagined, you can see four seasons in one day but it was strange for the first few days then I became like an English person and I enjoy the weather. Life is quiet and tidy and time flies, if you would like to be happy you would be.
