
MARADONA, who was known as the best football player in the world, was born in Argentina in 1960. He started to play football when he was 10. At first he played for Argentina Juniors. Then after the 1982 World Cup, he was transferred to Barcelona in Spain then to Napoli in Italy, where he reached the peak of his professional career. Whilst there he won a lot of championships and the Italian Super Cup. He lead the Argentina team to victory in the Fifa World Cup in 1986.
Whilst he was in Napoli, his personal problems increased and he got a 15-month ban for failing a drugs test for cocaine. In 1992, he left Napoli to go to Seville in Spain. One year later he left to go to Boca Juniors in Argentina. In 1994, Maradona played in only two games in the Fifa World Cup before being sent home after failing a drug test for ephedrine doping.
From 2008 to 2010, he lead Argentina as a coach. Now he is in Al Wasl FC.
